Zion Canyon

Even though it seems that very few people read my blog anymore, (that's a hint to please leave a comment if you've been here) I think I'll keep posting anyway.
Over New Year's Weekend, the kids and I took a trip to visit friends in Hurricane, UT, and we visited Zion Canyon National Park while we were there.
Did you know that there's a tiny town on the way called Holden? We have a picture that my mom took probably 30 years ago of my Granddad Holden at the town sign. I wanted to get a picture of Max Holden on that very same spot. So I did:

Zion Canyon is such a beautiful place. The red rock is amazing, especially against the white snow and the brilliant blue sky. These pictures don't do it justice.

Even though we couldn't hike any of the trails to see all that we wanted because of the snow and ice, we had a really nice time.

I love the red rock in Utah. Moving here from Ohio, I had never seen anything like that except for in the movies. I've lived here for over 10 years now, and I'm still in awe.
